Dear Friends,
I hope this short newsletter finds everyone safe and well!
It's a gorgeous summer day here on the farm and we're up to our ears in Raspberries, Red Currants, Black Currants, Blueberries and Blackberries! Tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini are also coming in strong and the flowers are bursting beautifully, and we've enjoyed making bouquets every day!
I'm just writing to say that Tiny Farmstand has been a great success- so successful in fact that we've decided to be open every day from 9-7!
This is a self-serve, contact - free farmstand, and we have a box for cash or checks. If you want to use a credit card, just order online and let me know when you're coming, and I'll have everything ready in a bag with your name. (You can even order pops online, and I'll have them in a bag in the freezer with your name.)
Many folks will be glad to know that Strawberry Preserves and Triple-Berry Preserves are back in stock! In fact, everything is in stock right now with the exception of Black Currant, but I'll probably get to putting that up by the end of the month.
PattiPops have been selling like hot cakes! If you get here and don't see your favorite, just ring the old school bell next to the freezer and I'll come as fast as my little old legs will carry me....the same is true for any other products. (We won't be making Peach Pops this summer - many of our peaches dropped in the drought and we're saving the ones in the freezer for preserves.)
If you'd like to enjoy a pop right here, that's absolutely fine! Tiny Farmstand is in a nicely-shaded spot and you're welcome to walk to the garden-side of the farmstand where you'll have a lovely view of the flowers and fruits. (Abbey will probably bark in delight - don't let her bother you - she just loves everybody and doesn't quite understand yet that people aren't coming here just to see her - we keep her on the garden side of the fence, so she won't jump.)
It's been a joy to know so many people are coming - often from very far away - and we feel very blessed! I miss my friends from farmers' markets and Tower Hill, and it warms my heart every time someone comes to Winchester and heads up the mountain to find us and their favorite foods!!!
Be well my friends and stay safe!!!
